"Toro Toro, Taxi..."

So- in regards to tommorow night's festivities w/ Laurie at El Toro- We'll be there at 6pm. Laurie is supposed to come around 6:30, I believe. SOmeone had posted earlier inviting "anyone who wants to come"... while that's cool, I had asked for a specific head count, so we could have a number to give the good folks at El toro tomorrow so's we can all sit together and commune and such. So far, I have a go from Ryan and Natalie, Mike and Erin and the little guy, Josh B. and Missy (whom I am not sure if they are coming stag or w. a partner) and Joy, myself and baby makes three.
If anyone else is planning to come please confirm via the blog (or my personal email if you have it) so we can get an accurate count of folks...
Lookin' forward to it! Let's party!
(30 points for the reference this time out...)

Gah! I know it's a dire straits song, but the name of it escapes me. I also know it refers to a roller-skating girl.

I might be able to break loose and come, but at present, i can promise nothing. I may have a new employment situation forming up.

Aha! For once I know it! It's Skateaway, by Dire Straits, from the excellent album Making Movies. BTW, Pete, good luck with the new employment situation!

We'll definately be there - so count the three of us in!

Missy and Jim will both be there; we'll be wearing lobster man suits, which'll make it hard to grab a burrito, but we both need to lose a few pounds anyway.

So...of course I get $#*(%$ in the ace every time I try and make plans. Sorry guys, I'll probably be late. Unforeseen and definitely unfortunate. Laurie, what's your cellie? I can give you a call once my newfound obligation is taken care of so I can meet up with the group. Dog bollocks!

That WAS fun. Good to see everybody somewhere other than a theatre lobby or audition. Hope Laurie and Matt and that cute girlie of theirs got back to FLA via Big D in good shape. Big question is, did they stock up on bourbon for Derby?

Hiya X !!!!

It was great seeing everyone on Monday night at El Toro's. I agree with Missy, it's nice to see everyone outside of a theater or an audition, or in the dressing room while you are in your underwear, or naked. :)

X/Joy....when can Erik and I babysit that precious butterball of yours? My heart melts everytime I see him.

BTW...it was great seeing Laurie after almost a year!!!! She and Matt, Senior Rose, Tom & Hollie, and Erik and I had one hell of a time at on Friday night at Buddy's and Mia's. We shut both places down. Laurie, honeychile....you have a way of convincing me to drink WAY TOO MUCH whiskey. GOD BLESS YOUR GORGEOUS ASS!!! Erik and I can't wait to come down and visit.

Also, Laurie, congrats on your good reviews.

I also wanted to say that (as always) it was a pleasure to work with you once again. Thanks for always believing in me and making me work my ass off!!! I feel that I've grown a hell of a lot as an actor in the past few years, and I owe a VERY BIG part of that to you my man. I appreciate you & your hard work more than you know!

Muchos Gracias

Shayne

Sounds like everyone had a great time Monday. Laurie, sorry I had to excuse myself from the festivities, if I could have avoided it, I certainly would have as I was pretty excited to catch up with all the peeps. Hopefully, there will be some other event soon...

Hi, Batfans!

Here's the briefest of scoops about this weekend's shows at Natasha's Cafe. The Friday show @ 8:00 is SOLD OUT; the Saturday 7:30 show is SOLD OUT. Both those shows have waiting lists. But there are a few seats left for the 10:00 Saturday show. So, c'mon! Finish up those taxes, and stay up late with your Batses! Take a little nappie-poo in the early evening, and then head downtown for a Bat bunny hop. (Or is that a Batty hop? Whatever!) Indulge in some of that Easter grass you've been saving for the kids, and join us for song, frolic, and many a purple peep. We're not sure what that last sentence really means, but it sounds kinda fun. Reservations at 259-2754, and call now. There really are just a very few seats left.

Hippity Hoppity,
THE BATS

PS Our next appearance at Natasha's will be May 12. Just so you know. And on June 2, look for the return of the cutest band ever, THE DESCHAMPS BAND. Check 'em out at www.deschampsband.com. Those boys from SC just can't stay away from MetroLex, and they want to party with YOU.
